I Exile Communities - Dolaji

We have almost finished conctruction of the communitiy center for the village of Dolanji, Northern India. Dolanji is the only Bon settlement in India. Seventy five families live in this village. They are followers of this native tradition.

This cultural hall will provide a place for annual festivals and religious retreats. It will also provide a venue for the older generation to teach the native custom and traditions to the younger generation. It will also serve as a youth center for social gatherings to strength the relationships of the youth of the village.

II. Tibet - La Tri Monastery

We are planning to build a Tibeten medical clinic in the La Tri area of Eastern Tibet. La Tri is home to approximately 300 families. The nearest medical facility is two or three days journey by horse. We plan to build a traditional mud-walled building with five rooms, to serve this entire community. The land for this clinic was donated by La Tri Monastery. Most of the labor will be provided by local volunteers. This donation of land and labor demonstrates the desire of the community for this clinic.
